Two bands. One big musical family.
No need to be a virtuoso. The training band welcomes people of all skill levels, while the senior band is for more experienced players who enjoy concerts and contests.

Friday • 8:00pm–9:30pm
A more experienced group playing traditional hymns and marches alongside film and TV tunes, big-band numbers, classical music and Christmas favourites.

Queensbury Music Centre is built around music, community and helping people enjoy playing. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time, coming back after years away, or already an experienced player, there’s a place for you.
We perform locally, take part in competitions and support one another along the way. The serious bit is making good music. The rest should be fun.

A bit of band history
Back on the contest stage.
QMC has a long history in Queensbury and, after decades away from the Yorkshire Area contest, has made a very lively return.
1969Founded as a youth band, starting a long musical story in Queensbury.
2025Returned to the Yorkshire Area after 37 years — and won the Fourth Section.
2026Won the Yorkshire Fourth Section again, earning another invitation to the National Final.

🏆 Yorkshire Fourth Section winners
Queensbury Music Centre topped the Fourth Section at the 2026 Yorkshire Brass Band Championships, conducted by Chris Lewis, and qualified for an invitation to the National Final.
That’s a fairly decent comeback.
